GOOD TO KNOW
Frequently asked questions
From your first scan to your payout. Here’s how it works.
Your offer and sale
Why sell my slab to SlabsOnSlabs?
Because selling a slab yourself takes more than posting an advert. With SlabsOnSlabs, you get a concrete offer, clear commitments and far less work.
More certainty, fewer worries
- You know who you are dealing with. You sell directly to SlabsOnSlabs, with clear agreements and a fixed price after approval. No unfamiliar buyer whose reliability you first have to figure out.
- We take on the shipping worries. If you use our label, follow the packing and hand-in instructions, and your parcel has been accepted by the carrier, we take on ordinary transit risk. If it is lost in transit, we compensate you for the full agreed purchase price. We also handle shipping damage and compensation. We pay for the label and any required insurance, and handle the claim ourselves. You do not have to chase the carrier or insurer; your compensation does not depend on their payment to us.
- You know what you will receive. An agreed amount, with no shipping-label or payout fees deducted. No new price negotiation because the market dropped after approval.
Sell your slab without all the selling work
- No adverts or endless messages. No writing listings, fending off low offers or answering the same questions over and over.
- No buyer search or appointments. No keeping evenings free for viewings, waiting for replies or starting again when someone backs out. We are your buyer.
- We do the reselling. Once the sale is approved, you pack your slab and hand it in using our label. Finding its next buyer, negotiating and taking the risk that it sits unsold are our job.
Which Pokémon cards and slabs can I sell?
QuickSell is for Pokémon cards in an authentic, sealed PSA holder. The card, version, language, grade and certificate must match, and the holder must have no visible damage under normal inspection. You must own the slab and be at least 18 to sell.
Scan your slab or enter its PSA number to check it. We can only show a usable offer when we can identify it and find enough suitable market information.
How is my offer calculated?
We look at completed sales for the same card and PSA grade. Unsuitable comparisons and isolated price outliers are excluded. Selling frequency, price stability and any applicable boosters help determine the offer.
The offer screen shows the sales and the calculation steps. An asking price or one unusually expensive sale does not determine your offer on its own.
Is my price fixed once I claim the offer?
Yes. Claiming locks the amount for the claim period shown in your account, up to 24 hours. A claim does not commit you to selling. Accept within that period if you want to proceed.
The beta check approves or rejects the offer; it does not recalculate your price because the market changed. After approval, later market movements do not change the agreed amount either.
What happens after I accept, and what is the beta check?
You first read the key arrangements and the full sale agreement. Only the final confirmation submits your acceptance. We then do one last beta check to see whether the system made a mistake. Your account shows the review deadline.
Until approval you can withdraw free of charge. Our electronic approval makes the sale binding for both sides. If we reject it or the review deadline expires without approval, you do not need to ship anything or pay any costs. Wait for approval and your label before shipping.
Packing and shipping
Who pays for shipping, and how do I get my label?
We pay for and provide the shipping label. This is not deducted from your offer. After approval, a separate email lets you know when your shipping guide and label are ready in your account.
Open your accepted offer, choose Shipping guide and label, and save the two packaging photos to unlock the download. The email links to that page; it does not contain the PDF. Hand in the parcel within seven working days after both approval and a usable label with instructions are available. Keep your proof of hand-in.
How should I pack my slab, and why are photos required?
Use a sturdy shipping box with protective padding all around the slab. It must not slide around or touch the box walls. Never put tape directly on the holder. A padded envelope, mailing bag or wrapping alone is not a suitable outer package.
Follow the shipping type in your personal guide. The maximum closed outside dimensions are 38 × 26.5 × 3.2 cm for a letterbox parcel, or 35 × 25 × 15 cm for an insured parcel. A larger box may cause label problems and extra carrier charges.
Before downloading the label, save two photos: the slab with its protective padding, and the securely closed parcel. An open-box photo shows the protection best. If your box makes that difficult, show it as clearly as possible before closing. These photos help us support a transport or insurance claim.
What if my parcel gets damaged or lost on the way?
After the carrier’s valid acceptance scan, we bear the ordinary transport risk when you have used our label, packed correctly and handed in the right parcel. For insured shipping, hand it to an employee at an official service point, not a locker or self-service scanner. Keep the receipt.
Contact us if something goes wrong. We handle the investigation, claim and compensation. You do not have to chase the carrier or insurer. For covered total loss, we compensate the full agreed price; a reasonable investigation may be needed, but waiting for the insurer to pay us is not itself a reason to delay your compensation. Once covered total loss and compensation are approved, we pay within two working days.
Damage or loss demonstrably caused by inadequate packaging remains your responsibility. Packaging-related loss means the slab escaping from a poorly closed or weak box. Loss or damage clearly caused by tampering or rough handling during transport is not treated as your fault.
Arrival and completion
What do you check on arrival, and what if something is wrong?
We check that we received the agreed slab, that its PSA details and condition match, that the holder is authentic and sealed, and that the packaging followed the rules. We aim to inspect it within one working day of delivery. Inspection is not a new market valuation.
If there is a material mismatch, we explain it with supporting evidence. Payment may be paused and the sale may be terminated where justified. We never lower the price without your explicit written agreement. If the slab must be returned, responsibility for reasonable return costs depends on the cause, as set out in your agreement. Ordinary transport damage at our risk is not a reason to refuse payment. You have seven calendar days to answer a revised offer. Expiry or silence never means acceptance. If you request review, we close that proposal and assess your message.
How do returns, unpaid postage and unclaimed slabs work?
We show the inspection evidence, who pays and why, and the actual return postage. Seller-paid postage requires an evidenced breach covered by the agreement. Confirm the address, return value and arrangements. If you owe postage, pay the confirmed cost within 14 calendar days before dispatch. We verify actual bank receipts; reporting payment does not complete it. We dispatch within two working days once confirmation, address and required payment are complete.
We arrange an insured return label covering the documented value confirmed with you and carry ordinary transit risk until delivery. We handle the carrier claim. Overpaid or reduced postage is refunded within 14 calendar days after the refund entitlement is established.
Without payment, your return stays on hold: we keep your slab safe, remind you and follow up. There is no automatic fee, acceptance of a lower offer or transfer of ownership. After one year without contact and a final written notice allowing at least 30 days, we may seek a lawful resolution. Silence never makes the slab ours. Contact us if you disagree with a charge or need help arranging return.
When and how will I be paid?
We pay the full agreed price in euros to the payout IBAN in your account. We make the transfer as soon as possible and no later than two working days after a successful inspection. We deduct no payout fees or shipping-label costs from that amount. After you expressly accept an inspection amendment, the two-working-day payout period starts at that acceptance.
Keep your IBAN correct and usable. You can follow inspection and payout progress in your accepted offer. The time it takes your bank to credit the transfer can vary.
Can I cancel my sale, and does that cost anything?
Before beta approval, you can withdraw your acceptance free of charge in your account. After approval, you can still cancel only before actually handing the parcel to the carrier. You then repay the full actual cost of any label we bought for that sale before cancellation. If no label costs were incurred, nothing is owed.
We explain the amount and payment instructions in your account and by email. Repayment is due within fourteen days of the request, with no automatic debit. Do not use the label after cancellation. Once the parcel has been handed in, you can no longer cancel through this flow, even if your account status has not updated yet. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
Missing the shipping deadline without an agreed extension can also lead to termination and repayment of the actual label costs. Contact us before the deadline if shipping is not possible.
